Academic Clinical Genetic Testing
The Medical Genetics Multiomics Laboratory (MGML) is an academic clinical genetic testing laboratory from Baylor College of Medicine. The MGML supports the academic mission of Baylor College of Medicine and provides CLIA/CAP approved clinical services. We partner with Baylor Genetics, a joint venture clinical diagnostic laboratory of H.U. Holdings and Baylor College of Medicine, to deliver innovative testing for clinical and research needs.
Cutting-edge Multiomic Technologies
The MGML is committed to pioneering excellence in the clinical laboratory practice of medical genetics. Our laboratory leverages the power of cutting-edge multiomic technologies to deliver accurate and personalized insights into genetic diagnostics, driving advancements in patient care and therapeutic innovation.
Diagnostic Services
Transcriptome sequencing is a genetic test that provides complementary results to DNA sequencing. It assesses gene expression status on a transcriptome level, which offers functional evidence to clarify the significance of DNA variants. Analysis of transcriptome data can also reveal molecular diagnostic findings that are not evident from analyzing DNA results alone.
Research Services
This research-only service using the Agilent TapeStation system provides automated assessment of nucleic acid quality and quantity to support sample preparation prior to sequencing.
