Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until April 1 of the anticipated fellowship start year. Three positions are available annually.
Most of our fellows will have completed both an ACGME-accredited anesthesia residency and pediatric anesthesiology fellowship. We have trained fellows in non-traditional pathways as well, including those applying following completion of an adult cardiovascular fellowship or residency alone. Applications will also be considered for outstanding international candidates with equivalent background training in pediatric and adult anesthesiology.
A complete application will include the following items:
- Application for Advanced Fellowship Training
- Curriculum Vitae
- Three Letters of Recommendation
Traditionally, candidates are invited to Houston for a one-day interview so that you may learn about our program and city in person. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, however, our priority is your health and safety. As such, we currently plan on continuing with virtual interviews for the 2022-23 class, and will adjust this strategy when it becomes safe to do so.
For any questions or additional information about the application process, please reach out to Program Director, Dr. Trivedi or the Fellowship Program Coordinator, Ms. Davelyn Smith
Diversity and Inclusion
Baylor College of Medicine fosters diversity as a prerequisite to accomplishing our institutional mission and setting standards for excellence in training healthcare providers and providing patient-centered care. In celebration of Diversity Week 2020, our faculty, staff, and students describe what diversity means to them in the workplace, in science and medicine, and on a personal level.
