Fellowship Program
The fellowship curriculum provides opportunities to achieve the cognitive knowledge, procedural skills, interpersonal skills, professional attitudes, humanistic qualities and practical experience required of a subspecialist. For those seeking an academic career, we also offer a research track that provides the fundamental knowledge and expertise to pursue a basic- or clinical research-based career in an academic institution.

Residents and Students
Are you interested in a career in nephrology? Consider a rotation with our faculty at one of four affiliated hospitals. The American Society of Nephrology publishes a section on potential career paths for interested trainees. Nephrology fellows and faculty also maintain a blogspot with interesting and humorous information pertaining to kidney disease.
During a Baylor nephrology rotation, you will be exposed to the breadth of inpatient and outpatient nephrology. You will be exposed to peritoneal and hemodialysis, critical care nephrology (ICU), glomerulonephritis, management of acute kidney injury (including hands-on interpretation of urinalysis), transplantation, chronic kidney disease, kidney stones and more! The faculty at Baylor teach at an amazingly diverse set of clinics and encourage learners to attend them during their rotation.
