Founded in 1900 as the University of Dallas Medical Department, Baylor College of Medicine is now a world-leading health sciences university that creates knowledge and applies science and discoveries to further education, healthcare and community service locally and globally.

Baylor is affiliated with nine teaching hospitals and jointly owns and operates Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.
