The Baylor College of Medicine Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center is one of 14 centers funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.The BCM IDDRC is also a member of the Association of University Centers on Disabilities.

Investigator Spotlight: Ross Poché, Ph.D.
Dr. Poché is an assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics and newest IDDRC faculty member. His research program is aimed at elucidating the transcriptional mechanisms regulating mammalian retinogenesis and regeneration with the long-term goal of revealing therapeutic targets and informing regenerative medicine strategies. Core Services
The cores of the BCM IDDRC give participating investigators access to expertise and techniques that are typically not available in individual laboratories and facilitate synergistic interactions between clinicians, neurobiologists, geneticists, and cell and molecular biologists.
