TEACH-S Educational Symposium

The Texas Educator's Academies Collaborative for Health Professions - Southeast will holds its Annual Educational Symposium on Friday, May 3, 2024. This event will provide a forum for showcasing scholarly innovations of the regional community of educators. It is a one-day event with keynote sessions, workshops, small group discussions, and oral & poster presentations.

The seminar's curriculum will provide a foundation for modeling leadership behavior and will focus on critical skills and strategies to assist you as you prepare for professional advancement or promotion. Due to the content focus, applicant's CV's must include or highlight activities demonstrating progress towards academic promotion and engagement in leadership roles.

Research Mentoring Foundations

Want to become better in the most impactful practice for personal success? This two-part mentor training session is evidence-based and will support the development of competencies in more effective communications; alignment of expectations in research mentoring relationships; supporting your mentee's development towards independence; and addressing personal and systems-level behaviors that create a more equitable and inclusive environment. This training qualifies as evidence-based mentor training for the National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation interests. Led by BCM faculty facilitators.
