The urethra is the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body. Urine is produced in the kidneys and flows through the ureters to the bladder, where it is stored until a person urinates. The urethra is significantly shorter in women than in men.

Our physicians treat the following conditions:

  • Urethral stricture disease
  • Urethral diverticulum
  • Urethral prolapse
  • Urethral caruncle
  • Skene's gland cysts

Please make an appointment and speak with a Baylor Medicine Physician to assist in determining the best treatment for your condition or diagnosis.
