Testosterone is a vital hormone for men. As men age, testosterone levels gradually decline in a process known as andropause or late-onset hypogonadism. Approximately 480,000 new cases of testosterone deficiency are diagnosed each year in the United States.

Testosterone replacement can reverse unwanted effects. Effective methods of testosterone replacement include gel application and injection therapy. All men on testosterone replacement therapy must be closely monitored for prostate health, red blood cell counts, and testosterone levels in the blood.

Testosterone deficiency may result in:

  • Decreased libido or sexual interest
  • Poor or no erections
  • Impaired energy levels
  • Loss of muscle mass & strength
  • Decreased bone density
