The Global Health Care Innovation Fund, administered under the Baylor Global Innovation Center, provides Baylor faculty with funding for pilot studies in translational health research involving international partners and a focus on diseases that primarily affect medically underserved populations in low or middle income countries.

Studies are expected to generate preliminary data to secure subsequent peer-reviewed state or federal funding, and projects with the potential for commercialization are given special consideration. Requests for proposals (RFPs) are issued every other year in May and submissions are reviewed by germane Baylor faculty to determine funding. Award amounts are up to $50,000 for a one-year funding period.
