"When you’re starting a new program sometimes you have to move far away from loved ones temporarily to pursue your career. Sometimes, if you’re lucky, your new colleagues can start to feel like a new family. I count myself very lucky to have found that here at Baylor. I am so impressed by the generous and earnest offers of friendship I have had so far. Our work-weeks are busy, but in between cases and after work I am getting to know my new work-family and they are inviting me to the multitude of things there are to do in this city. For instance, last weekend, I wasn’t on call and I got an invite to two museums, a walk in the park and a virtual sushi lesson!"
