Four-Year Combined Program in Pediatrics and Medical Genetics and Genomics


Individuals may enter a combined residency in pediatrics and medical genetics and genomics directly from medical school and after four years of residency will be eligible for ABMGG certification in Clinical Genetics as well as American Board of Pediatrics certification in Pediatrics.


How to Apply


Applications are accepted beginning in August and interviews are conducted November - January. We generally do NOT accept international medical graduates into this pathway unless the applicant either has done electives in the United States as a medical student or has extensive research experience.

Applicants who are seniors at allopathic medical schools in the United States must use the NRMP for entry and submit applications through ERAS. ERAS usually opens in July and the following documents are required:

  • Three letters of reference
  • Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
  • Personal statement
  • Official medical school transcript
  • United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores
