The Division of Adolescent Medicine and Sports Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine provides comprehensive services to adolescents and young adults and offers specialized education with an interdisciplinary focus on training the next generation of healthcare providers.
The interdisciplinary team in Adolescent Medicine and Sports Medicine includes board-certified adolescent medicine physicians, sports medicine physicians, psychologists, dietitians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, nurses, and exercise specialists provide training in the application of primary, secondary and tertiary treatment strategies to address clinical and public health problems of adolescents and young adults. This commitment to educating students, residents, fellows, and the community has resulted in educational awards of recognition for a majority of full time faculty.
