Founded in 1900 as the University of Dallas Medical Department, Baylor College of Medicine is now a world-leading health sciences university that creates knowledge and applies science and discoveries to further education, healthcare and community service locally and globally. 

Baylor’s strengths include internationally renowned departments, clinical practices, research programs, physicians and scientists. Baylor is affiliated with nine teaching hospitals and jointly owns and operates Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. We have more than 3,000 trainees across Baylor’s education components: the School of Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the School of Health Professions and the National School of Tropical Medicine.
