Professional Statement
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Neuroscience, obtaining a background in spinal cord injury models in the lab of Dr. Michelle Hook. Following graduation, I joined the labs of Dr. Ines Moreno-Gonzalez and Dr. Rodrigo Morales at the University of Texas Health Science Center where I studied risk factors for Alzheimer's disease. I am now in the lab of Dr. Matthew N. Rasband at Baylor College of Medicine where I am interested in elucidating mechanisms behind potassium leak channel localization at nodes of Ranvier.Selected Publications
