 Student Health Insurance Program

Student wellness is essential to academic progress at Baylor College of Medicine. To support this philosophy, Baylor maintains the Student Health Insurance Plan. 

For students enrolled in the BCM student health insurance plan through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, our partner, Academic HealthPlans is available to help you find doctors, facilities and other services to best meet your healthcare needs. You can reach AHP from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday at 855-856-4117.


Through this online platform, students have access to nutritional counseling, smoking cessation and a variety of other resources to support your physical wellbeing. Learn more about WellConnect.


Join us for FREE Yoga Classes Every Tuesday

The Office of Student Services is offering free Yoga classes from noon-1 p.m. every Tuesday. This offering is made possible through an arrangement between our very own Doctors for Change student organization and The Good Yoga Project. There is no RSVP required, so feel free to pull out your comfortable clothes and join us next Tuesday! Limited yoga mats available so please bring your own if you have one!

Whether you’re looking for a healthy way to relieve stress or just a fun way to connect with your fellow students, our quarterly intramural sports competitions have that for you! Ranging from team-based competitions like dodgeball and basketball to individual competitions like our inflatable obstacle course run, these activities promote a sense of community at Baylor across all degrees and programs and maintaining an active lifestyle. Get healthy while helping others! Baylor students, faculty and staff organize and participate in fundraising events throughout the year.

Organized by students, the Annual BCM Wellness 5K Race/Walk supports physical wellness as well as social through providing opportunities for everyone in the Baylor community to come together and raise funds for good causes.
