The Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship consists of two years of post-residency training in the Department of Ophthalmology under the direction of Milton Boniuk, M.D. and Michael Yen, M.D. One position is available every other year commencing July 7. The next availability is for year 2014.
The goal of the fellowship is to provide clinical fellows with subspecialty training in the areas of ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. The majority of this clinical training occurs when working in the clinics of the attending physicians, although additional experience, including much of the surgical experience, occurs at Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Ben Taub Hospital.
