The Glaucoma Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine consists of one year of post-residency training in the Department of Ophthalmology under the direction of Drs. Peter T. Chang, Yvonne I. Chu, Benjamin J. Frankfort, Albert P. Lin, and Silvia Orengo-Nania. One position is available this year for the period from July 7 through July 6.

The program is designed to provide the fellow with a broad experience in the clinical diagnosis, evaluation, and management of all forms of glaucoma as well as permit individual and collaborative pursuits in clinical and basic research. The fellow will divide time among faculty members and gain hands-on experience in the pre-operative evaluation, surgical management and post-operative care of the full spectrum of glaucoma.

The fellow shares the responsibility for the medical and surgical management of patients referred to the Glaucoma Service of the Cullen Eye Institute. In addition, the fellow assists in the instruction of the resident assigned to the Service; serves as a consultant for the residents at Ben Taub Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
