Fellows primarily train at our Main Campus in the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world. TCH Main Campus is the largest free-standing children’s hospital in the world, the number one children’s hospital in Texas, and consistently ranks in the top 3 best children’s hospitals nationally. Our program also allows for electives at our two community campuses (TCH Woodlands and TCH West), allowing for additional exposure to a private practice style setting.
At TCH, we provide unparalleled clinical experiences within a diverse and supportive community, guided by experienced, esteemed, and nationally recognized faculty members. Annually administering over 50,000 anesthetics, the Texas Children's Hospital Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative & Pain Medicine offers fellows the opportunity to engage in a comprehensive spectrum of high-acuity neonatal and pediatric surgical cases. This includes cases involving both healthy children and those with complex medical disorders. Our program ensures a robust training experience, facilitated by the mentorship of our dedicated faculty members. Ample opportunities for research, advocacy, leadership, and teaching within the program empower fellows to explore their personal interests while evolving into well-rounded pediatric anesthesiologists, which has prepared them for successful careers in either private practice or academia upon graduation.
