CIBR Center Computation & Data Resources

Some resources are for CIBR Center members only and others are available for the entire Baylor College of Medicine community. Please read carefully.

The CIBR Center operates two medium scale high performance Linux clusters purchased by a collaborative agreement between CIBR, and several PIs labs. Each group that contributes financially to the purchase of a cluster is entitled to a proportional amount of overall compute capacity, and at present there are no ongoing expenses after the initial purchase. PIs interested in participating in the next cluster purchase (typically annually) should contact sludtke@bcm.edu. Currently we operate:

• Sphere (2015) - 960 CPUs, 100,000 CPU-hr/year free for CIBR PIs
• Prism (2013) - 704 CPUs, 100,000 CPU-hr/year free for CIBR PIs
• Torus (2012) - 640 CPUs, 40,000 CPU-hr/year free for CIBR PIs
• Store1 - 350 TB of backed up RAID6 storage for non-active project storage (1 TB initial free allocations/user)

Requests for free access must come directly from the PI, who must already be a member of CIBR (membership is free). Email sludtke@bcm.edu for information.

In manuscripts, grant proposals, presentations, and other publications, please acknowledge the assistance from the CIBR Center by including a statement similar to the following:

"We gratefully acknowledge the assistance and computing resources provided by the CIBR Center for Computational and Integrative Biomedical Research of Baylor College of Medicine in the completion of this work."

For data software and collections primarily produced and distributed by CIBR Center faculty members.
