Abstracts and posters are invited from all institutions for basic and clinical scientists interested in contraception. The meeting will be comprised of short talks and poster presentations presented by students, fellows, and faculty. This is a great opportunity to foster collaborations with other contraception scientists, and for those in training, to present their work.

Abstract Submission

Please submit your 1-page abstract by Oct. 6, 2023 to ensure consideration as a platform presentation. We encourage all poster and platform presenters to be limited to one abstract per first author. An individual can be a co-author on any number of abstracts, but can only be a first author on one abstract.

The 2023 National Contraception Meeting will be held as an in-person meeting from Nov. 13 – Nov. 16, 2023. Read the abstract submission guidelines below carefully before submitting an abstract.

  • Abstract Submission Closes: 11:59 p.m. Oct. 6, 2023
  • Notification of abstracts selected for oral presentation: Oct. 20, 2023

Award Information

Awards for posters and oral presentations will be given out at the symposium.

Abstract Guidelines

Oral presentations will be selected by the program committee from accepted abstracts. During submission, the submitting author may opt out of the abstract being considered for an oral presentation; however, all accepted abstracts must be presented as posters.

Abstracts must be submitted properly through the online form submission system.

Note: Free online title case converters are available.

Authors should be listed as First Name - Middle Initial - Last Name with affiliation.

Abstracts submitted to other meetings are eligible for submission to the symposium. This includes work included in a published article, or a manuscript submitted for publication.

Limits: 300-word limit, no figures or tables. Title, authors and affiliations do not count toward the character count of the abstract. Abstracts will be rated for:

  • Originality and Clarity
  • Novelty
  • Scientific Merit
  • Appropriate Conclusions

Submitting Author

The submitting author is the individual submitting the abstract and the contact person for all correspondence. The submitting author is not the senior author but has to be the first author and the presenting author.

The senior author is the last author listed on the abstract.

The submitting author has the following responsibilities:

  • Verify that all authors and the senior author agree to the content of the abstract
  • Be responsible for notifying all other authors of acceptance, rejection, scheduling and any other information
  • Award applicants are responsible for notifying their faculty mentors
  • Ensure that the abstract poster conforms to the Rules for poster display
