Dr. Anh Nguyen earned his MD from Hanoi Medical University and his PhD from the University of Texas School of Public Health.
Before joining Baylor College of Medicine, he conducted research in adult cardiothoracic surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery and as an ad hoc reviewer for The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation and the Journal of Surgical Research.
Dr. Nguyen is dedicated to teaching and mentoring in research methods, healthcare quality and patient safety. His research focuses on improving outcomes in cardiac surgery, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support through clinical, health services, and implementation research.
