About the Program
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine invites applicants for the OB/GYN Hospitalist Fellowship program. This program is a two-year fellowship designed to provide high quality, advanced education in hospital-based obstetrics and gynecology focused on high-risk obstetrics, maximizing patient safety, and developing skills in obstetric and gynecologic emergencies. This fellowship is designed for physicians specifically interested in gaining skills to become leaders in hospital medicine.
Admissions and Benefits
Candidate must have completed an accredited four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Fellows will be required to have a Texas license, in addition to being ABOG Board Eligible or Board Certified.
Responsibilities will include providing patient care, teaching clinical programs, and demonstrating professional competency and activity. Fellows will rotate through a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit in a university teaching hospital, manage a triage unit, be a member of the placenta accreta spectrum team, as well as opportunities in global health and gynecologic surgeries.
