Andy Espinoza, M.D., pediatric surgical oncology research fellow, has received a $120,000 NIH F32 grant for his project “Defining Protein Signature of Vascular Invasion in Hepatoblastoma.” The research aims to study the protein expression of hepatoblastoma cells that invade the blood vessels to create prediction models and targeted treatments for patients. Dr. Espinoza’s primary mentors for his grant are Sanjeev Vasudevan, M.D., and Dolores Lopez-Terrada, M.D., Ph.D.
