Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center - Texas Medical Center campus is the jointly owned and operated private adult hospital that is part of the CHI St. Luke’s Health system. The medical staff at Baylor St. Luke’s includes full-time Baylor faculty, as well as community physicians.
Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center - Texas Medical Center is the former St. Luke’s Medical Center, located on Bertner Street in the Texas Medical Center. It is an 850-bed hospital that offers a range of specialties.
Advanced treatment programs at Baylor St. Luke’s include orthopedics, oncology, urology, digestive disorders and neurosciences. Baylor physicians conduct research at Baylor St. Luke’s, including clinical trials which may provide patients at Baylor St. Luke’s with early access to experimental treatments and other resources.
Baylor physicians also are involved with Texas Heart Institute, which has established a strong affiliation with CHI St. Luke’s. Texas Heart has consistently been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation's top 10 centers for cardiology and heart surgery since 1990, and at the cardiac catheterization laboratory, which is the largest in the world with more than 10,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed each year. Baylor physicians also provide care at the Transplant Center, one of the largest in the world, where they have performed more than 1,000 heart transplantations since 1975.
