Thank you for your interest in our Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Program. We are very excited to share information about our three-year, ACGME-accredited training program with you.

Our program is part of Baylor College of Medicine, one of the largest academic institutions in the world, and Texas Children’s Hospital, the largest freestanding pediatric hospital in the United States.

Our focus is to help our pediatric endocrine fellows become the leaders of tomorrow in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes through an innovative and learner-centered environment committed to excellence in patient care, quality improvement and research.

The Department of Pediatrics includes every subspecialty available through the American Board of Pediatrics. Our program offers trainees an extensive range of clinical experiences in all fields of pediatric endocrinology and diabetes and in a very diverse patient population.

The Division of Diabetes and Endocrinology has several unique specialty clinics including: the Disorders of Sexual Development Program (also designated as center of excellence in disorders of sexual differentiation), cancer survivor’s clinic, cystic fibrosis related diabetes clinic, as well as clinics specific to Prader-Willi, skeletal dysplasia, lipid abnormalities, thyroid disease, PCOS and metabolic disease.

Apart from providing excellent training in clinical endocrinology and diabetes, our faculty is dedicated to providing unique training in research and quality improvement. Pediatric endocrinology fellows have many great opportunities to be involved in scholarly activities led by our nationally and internationally recognized faculty.

Our program is supported by a large group of talented professionals including certified diabetes educators, registered dietitians, social workers, psychologists, child life specialists, clinic support staff and Baylor administrative staff. Our division is also very active in the community, including participation in the American Diabetes Association Walk and Bike-a-Thon, Diabetes Camps, Dia-Boo-Bash and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk amongst others.

Our faculty, fellows and staff comprise a very diverse and well-rounded team, coming from all over the world. What unites us is our mission to achieve excellence in pediatric endocrine and diabetes care for our patients and the children of the world.

We are very excited at the prospect of your visiting our program and we look forward to meeting you soon.
