One needs to get out of the lab to be fulfilled and stimulate creativity. And remember to take pictures. Activities include lab lunches to celebrate accepted papers, funded grants, and to celebrate people moving off to the next phase of their careers. Great restaurants abound in Houston and the celebrant gets their pick (within a budget of course). Activities also include celebrations of birthdays, showers, holidays as well as lab outings.
