Advanced Liver Therapies at Baylor College of Medicine is a clinical research center dedicated exclusively to the development of new diagnostic tests and therapies for adults with liver diseases.
ALT Studies
Advanced Liver Therapies provides studies/clinical trials for a variety of liver diseases, including:

- Hepatic encephalopathy
- Primary biliary cirrhosis

Services
As an important initiative of the Office of Clinical Research efforts, the ALT:
- Collaborates with scientists to establish translational research
- Advocates to encourage the pharmaceutical industry to develop new tests and therapies
- Provides advisors for new research protocol designs
- Publishes research results in peer-reviewed publications
