Patents

Supercoiled Minicircle DNA For Gene Therapy Applications
Patent number: 20130316449
Abstract: The present invention relates to nucleic acid molecule compositions comprising minivectors encoding a nucleic acid sequence and methods
of gene therapy using minivectors encoding a nucleic acid sequence.
Type: Grant
Filed: April 30, 2013
Date of Patent: Feb. 23, 2016
Assignee: Baylor College of Medicine
Inventors: E. Lynn Zechiedrich, Jonathan Fogg, Daniel James Catanese, Jr., Erol Bakkalbasi, Brian E. Gilbert

Supercoiled Minivectors As A Tool For DNA Repair, Alteration And Replacement
Publication number: 20150376645
Abstract: In some embodiments the present disclosure provides a composition for targeted alteration of a DNA sequence and methods of altering the targeted DNA sequence using the composition. In some embodiments such a composition comprises a MiniVector comprising a nucleic acid sequence template for homology-directed repair, alteration, or replacement of the targeted DNA sequence within a cell in vivo or in vitro, where the MiniVector lacks both a bacterial origin of replication and an antibiotic selection gene, and wherein the Mini Vector has a size up to about 2,500 base pairs.
Type: Application
Filed: May 30, 2013
Publication date: Dec. 31, 2015
Applicants: Baylor College of Medicine, University of Washingotn Center for Commercialization
Inventors: E. Lynn Zechiedrich, Jonathan Fogg, Daniel James Catanese, JR., Nancy Maizel, Olivier Humbert

Supercoiled Minivectors For Gene Therapy Applications
Patent number: 20120302625
Abstract: The present invention relates to nucleic acid molecule compositions comprising MiniVectors™ encoding a nucleic acid sequence and methods of gene therapy using MiniVectors encoding a nucleic acid sequence.
Type: Grant
Filed: Oct. 15, 2010
Date of Patent: May 20, 2014
Assignee: Baylor College of Medicine
Inventors: E. Lynn Zechiedrich, Jonathan Fogg, Daniel James Catanese, Jr., Erol Bakkalbasi, Brian E. Gilbert

Genomic Approach To The Identification Of Biomarkers For Antibiotic Resistance And Susceptibility In Clinical Isolates Of Bacterial Pathogens
Publication number: 20140030712
Abstract: In certain embodiments, the present invention concerns genotypic identification of bacteria that are resistant to a bacteria and subsequent determination of an appropriate therapy. In specific embodiments, a high-throughput genotypic detection method for biomarkers for antibiotic resistance and susceptibility allows efficient prescription practice and increases the likelihood of a successful therapeutic outcome. In certain embodiments, the information from the genotypic detection method is utilized for determining antibiotics that should be avoided or, alternatively, employed.
Type: Application
Filed: Feb. 1, 2012
Publication date: Jan. 30, 2014
Applicant: Baylor College of Medicine
Inventors: E. Lynn Zechiedrich, Michelle C. Swick, Richard S. Sucgang
