Professional Statement
Dr. Eric Silberfein currently bases his surgical oncology practice at Ben Taub Hospital and dedicates his time to caring for the underserved population of Houston. He is also interested in the education of residents and medical students by improving their knowledge and skills through formal curriculum.
Dr. Silberfein serves as the Cancer Liaison Physician for the Commission on Cancer arm of the American College of Surgeons, and represents the Association of American Medical Colleges as a member of the Council of Faculty and Academic Societies.
Dr. Silberfein’s research interests include the natural history of solid organ tumors and the multidisciplinary therapy of solid organ malignancy. Dr. Silberfein has received multiple teaching awards and honors.
