Professional Statement

My research is focused on improving the safety and efficiency of communication through the electronic health record, including reduction of information overload and decreasing the likelihood of breakdowns in communication related to patient care. I am currently funded by a 5-year K08 grant to understand factors that lead to reduced provider efficiency and situational awareness related to processing of electronic health record inbox-delivered information.
