Taylor P. Kohn, M.D., M.Phil., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery within the Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Kohn specializes in male infertility, erectile dysfunction, and male hormone disorders, with particular expertise in microsurgical reconstruction, varicocele repair, vasectomy reversal, penile prosthesis surgery, and medical management of hypogonadism.He completed his urology residency at the Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute and fellowship training under Dr. Larry Lipshultz and Dr. Mohit Khera at Baylor College of Medicine. His clinical practice emphasizes comprehensive care for men with fertility and sexual health concerns, integrating precision diagnostics, hormonal optimization, and surgical intervention.
Dr. Kohn’s research focuses on advanced imaging and bioengineering applications for male reproductive health, including high-frequency ultrasound and radio-frequency–based analysis to identify testicular microstructural markers of spermatogenesis. His academic interests extend to testosterone therapy safety, regenerative therapies for erectile dysfunction, and the genetics of spermatogenic failure.
He serves on the Editorial Board of Fertility and Sterility and as an Associate Editor for Human Reproduction. Dr. Kohn has published extensively in leading journals including The Journal of Urology, Fertility and Sterility, The Journal of Sexual Medicine, and European Urology, and has presented podium research at the AUA, ASRM, and SMSNA meetings.
