Professional Statement

Dr. Banerjee’s interest in radiology, neuroradiology, and informatics developed alongside with his interest in computer science. The fields naturally paired together as he used computer science to delve into various clinical applications of radiology including simulation, gamification, and 3D visualization. He has developed numerous software programs that utilize these methods. He continues to work on new applications for computer science within radiology such as artificial intelligence, including machine learning and expert systems. He also continues his work in education, promoting gamification and simulation as teaching modules. He also is working on creating new software solutions to promote understanding regarding bias and equality in medicine.
