Sebastian Winocour, M.D., M.Sc., M.B.A., F.A.C.S. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon who specializes in breast cancer reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. He uses advanced techniques in breast reconstruction surgery to help cancer patients achieve their aesthetic goals and restore their emotional well-being. In his aesthetic practice, he prioritizes working with his patients to acheive natural results and to fulfill their goals in facial and body rejuvenation.
Dr. Winocour is a Professor of Surgery and Associate Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He is the Section Chief of Plastic Surgery at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center and the Medical Director of Plastic Surgery at Baylor Medicine. He has authored over 115 manuscripts in high-impact journals in the field of plastic surgery, including two Nature publications, and has given over 70 presentations on his research at national and international conferences. He serves on the editorial board of the journal Seminars in Plastic Surgery and is co-editor of the first textbook on Spino-Plastic Reconstruction. His research focus includes aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, spine reconstruction and business leadership.
Dr. Winocour completed medical school and a residency in general surgery at McGill University. During this time, he also obtained a Master of Science degree in the Division of Experimental Surgery. He then went on to complete a second residency in Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, followed by a microsurgery fellowship at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. He recently completed an executive MBA at The University of Texas at Dallas.
