Dr. Pooja Prabhakar is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery within the Joseph Barnhart Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor Medicine. Dr. Prabhakar grew up in Katy, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Biology with honors. She earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, during which time she completed a research internship at the acclaimed Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle where she worked at the renowned trauma hospital, Harborview Medical Center.
