1-year postgraduate hepatology training program for nurse practitioners and physician assistants in a clinical outpatient setting, Establish knowledge about basic biology/pathobiology of liver/biliary systems; understanding of diagnosis/treatment of broad range of hepatobiliary disorders. Develop indications and use of diagnostic/therapeutic procedures to manage hepatobiliary disorders. Recognize indications for liver transplantation. Encourage critical thinking and effective communication with all members of the healthcare team.
