Professional Statement

My journey in medicine began not with privilege, but with purpose. Born and raised in Mexico under difficult circumstances, I experienced firsthand the challenges that many underserved communities face in accessing quality healthcare. These early experiences shaped not only my understanding of medicine, but also my calling to serve with compassion, humility, and perseverance.

I earned my MD from a medical school in Mexico, where I developed a deep respect for evidence-based care and patient-centered practice. Despite limited resources, I was committed to learning and contributing meaningfully. That commitment led me to research—where, for over seven years, I have focused on advancing medical knowledge to improve outcomes for patients and communities alike.

By God's grace, I was given the opportunity to come to Houston, where I continue to grow both personally and professionally. Every step of my journey has been guided by faith, resilience, and a genuine desire to be a part of something greater than myself. I believe that healthcare is not just a profession—it is a calling to serve others with dignity and excellence.

As I continue my work in the healthcare field, I remain deeply grateful for every opportunity to contribute to the well-being of others and to uphold the values that brought me here.
