Professional Statement

As a clinician educator, my goal is to provide the highest quality compassionate patient care, lead new clinical efforts, educate the next generation of physicians, and serve the community. I have experience in managing complicated endocrine diseases. I direct the Diabetic Ketoacidosis, OB-Endocrine, General Endocrine, and Thyroid biopsy clinics at the Harris Health System. I have been instrumental in leading new clinical efforts, including the implementation of e-consults and expanding the out-patient endocrine clinics at Harris Health System. I have been involved in the education of endocrine fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students, and my efforts have been recognized by multiple teaching and clinical care awards.
