Professional Statement
Miriam Overton has called many places home, including California, Alabama, Louisiana, Minnesota, Quebec, New Brunswick, Ontario and most recently Houston and Baylor College of Medicine. She has enjoyed working with non-profits, previously leading fundraising efforts of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, LSU College of Music and Dramatic Arts and The Salvation Army in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Making a meaningful difference in people's lives through fostering relationships that lead to impactful philanthropy is both a professionally and personally rewarding goal.
Miriam holds both a BA and MA in Theology. She continues to be enthralled by the ways people connect and is devoted to overcoming hurdles that keep people apart. She enjoys reading, the arts, ancient history, gardening, travel and most of all, spending time with friends and family, including her children Rachel and Isaac and son-in-law, Lennart and daughter-in-law, Selina.
