Professional Statement

After growing up in Denton, Texas, I majored in Biochemistry at The University of Texas at Austin. During my time at UT, I worked as a medical assistant, where I discovered my passion for patient-centered continuity of care. In between graduating from UT and starting graduate school, I worked as a genetic counseling assistant in an outpatient cancer clinic that provided genetic counseling to adults with a personal or family history of cancer. Throughout my career, I have also pursued my passion for group fitness, and have been a spin instructor since 2018. In my spare time, I have volunteered as a hospital advocate for survivors of sexual assault and currently serve as a student ambassador for the United Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency (MSD) organization.
I am a second-year genetic counseling student at Baylor College of Medicine, and am available for prospective students who want to learn more about genetic counseling or would like mentorship throughout the application process!
