Professional Statement
As a dedicated healthcare professional, I strive to achieve superior patient outcomes by combining clinical intuition with evidence-based approaches. My focus lies in restoring normal function to the musculoskeletal system through effective techniques. I emphasize exercise to enhance strength, flexibility, and endurance, while also utilizing manual therapy to address joint and soft tissue restrictions. My goal is to optimize healing, reduce pain, improve functional levels, and enhance sports performance. I am committed to creating a proactive environment that empowers, educates, and motivates patients to achieve their highest functional potential.
My credentials as a physical therapist include a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University (TWU). I later earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine, where I focused on orthopedics, correction of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and imbalances, and advanced manual therapy techniques.
I am also a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a distinction that reflects advanced knowledge and expertise in orthopedic physical therapy. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, I worked as a personal trainer for 10 years, giving me more than 25 years of combined experience educating, coaching, and motivating patients and clients to improve their health and physical performance.
My passion for fitness and human movement began when I started weight training at age 15. I went on to become a successful bodybuilder, applying evidence-based principles of exercise, strength training, recovery, and injury prevention to my own development. Many of the techniques and strategies I teach today are methods that I have personally practiced and refined throughout my life and continue to utilize in my own training and wellness routine.
This combination of advanced clinical education, specialty certification, decades of coaching experience, and personal application allows me to approach rehabilitation not only from a scientific and clinical perspective, but also from the practical standpoint of someone who has spent a lifetime studying and applying the principles of physical performance and recovery.
