Professional Statement
Dr. Jones is a clinician-scientist specializing in the assessment and treatment of emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and sleep-related manifestations of primary neurological disorders. Her current research focuses on the identification and treatment of sleep and other neuropsychiatric risk factors for neurodegeneration. She is a recipient of a VA Career Development Award investigating the effect of a medication approved for Parkinson's disease psychosis on sleep disturbances associated with post-traumatic stress disorder. She serves on the Education Committee and co-chairs the Sleep Neuropsychiatry Special Interest Group of the American Neuropsychiatric Association. As Associate Director of the Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry (BNNP) Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, she developed the Program's clinical and didactic curriculum. Clinically, she initiated BNNP consultative clinical services at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and aims to cultivate a transdisciplinary approach toward the management of neuropsychiatric disorders.
