Professional Statement

I am a board-certified pediatric hospitalist with over a decade of experience at the nation’s largest children’s hospital. In my current role as Chief Health Information Officer, I lead enterprise-wide strategies to optimize health information systems, advance data literacy, and unify clinical communication.
My work focuses on leveraging technology to improve care delivery through smart implementation, workflow efficiency, and clinician education. I collaborate across Information Services, Quality, and Nursing to drive initiatives that enhance EHR usability, develop dashboards, and standardize documentation.
As an Epic-certified physician builder and member of the national Epic Hospitalist Steering Board since 2018 and now inaugural chair of the Pediatric Hospitalist Steering Board, I bring deep expertise in clinical informatics and system design. I also serve on the Executive Committee of the AAP Council on Clinical Information Technology, advocating for technology-driven improvements in pediatric care.
Research interests include technology applications in sepsis management and EHR-based simulation education. My passion is empowering clinicians to spend less time in the EHR and more time at the bedside—using technology as a tool to deliver safer, smarter care for children and women.
