Professional Statement
Dr. Kyler Shin was born in Houston and raised in Chicago. After spending his entire educational journey in Illinois, he was beyond excited to match into BCM's radiology residency and return to the city where it all began. He is part of the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) pathway, which will prepare him for a 1-year independent IR residency upon graduation in 2027.In his spare time, Kyler loves exploring the Houston food scene as well as staying active through swimming, running, tennis, pickleball, and sand volleyball. As a musician, he enjoys playing piano, and creating musical content from mashups to original electronic dance music remixes. Kyler is also a longtime Chicago sports fan who has taken a new liking to Houston's teams.
