Professional Statement
Dr. Nguyen received her undergraduate degree at Baylor University before attaining her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She then completed a 6-year integrated plastic surgery residency through Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After residency, she completed a total of four surgical fellowships. She first completed a 1-year orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. She then did a 1-year pediatric craniofacial surgery fellowship through Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She next did a 6-month pediatric hand surgery and microsurgery fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital before completing another 6-month pediatric hand surgery fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.She is now proud to be a member of the plastic surgery department at Texas Children’s Hospital and part of the Baylor College of Medicine plastic surgery faculty. She is an active member of the pediatric hand surgery division. She specializes in hand trauma, congenital hand, brachial plexus birth palsy, and microsurgery. She focuses on providing comprehensive care for the upper extremity in children, coordinating closely with hand occupational therapy to provide the best outcomes for her patients.
