Decoding the impact of sex differences on Alzheimer's disease risk

- Alzheimer's disease affects approximately twice as many females compared to males. The reasons for this difference are largely unexplored. We combine computational approaches applied to whole exome/genome sequencing of patients and controls with in vivo (Drosophila, cells, mice) approaches to identify genes that carry differential risk of causing Alzheimer's disease in females and in males.
