Professional Statement

My research investigates the mechanisms that regulate liver energy metabolism and liver cancer development. We focus on (1) elucidating how the metabolic properties are reprogrammed in liver cancer development; (2) dissecting the role of hepatic macrophages and other immune cells in mouse models of diabetes and liver cancer; (3) discovering novel therapeutic targets and agents in chronic liver disease including liver cancer, hepatic insulin resistance, NAFLD, and NASH.
