Travel and Transportation
Baylor College of Medicine is located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. The Houston area has two airports: George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU).
There are a number of hotel options in and around the Texas Medical Center, and some may offer shuttle services to buildings within the TMC. Rideshare services are widely available, as are taxis, rental cars, bus, and rail.
Campus parking is available in garages 4, 6, and 7. The TMC Visitor Parking Guide has a map and daily rates.
All visitors must enter through the main entrance of the College at the intersection of John Freeman Boulevard and E. Cullen Street. This entrance is in the Cullen Building and has a large water fountain in front. There is also a circle driveway for drop offs.
Security Requirements
The College is a closed campus with strict visitor policies. Applicants who work at a Texas Medical Center institution (e.g., Ben Taub, BSLMC, TCH, VA, Methodist, Memorial Hermann, etc.) may wear their institutional ID badge to enter the building. Applicants who do not work at a TMC institution must submit a copy of their driver’s license and be pre-cleared in order to access the building. Instructions for this process will be sent in late July.
Please note that we cannot accommodate spouses, significant others, parents, or other guests on interview day.
