Journal Clubs

Held the second Thursday of each month, these informal sessions provide students and postdoctoral fellows with an opportunity to present their research to other members of the department.

The Schoolar Lecture in Psychopharmacology

This annual endowed lectureship honors Professor Joseph Schoolar. Dr. Schoolar was a member of the Pharmacology and Psychiatry departments for nearly 50 years. More information can be found on the Schoolar Lecture page.

Annual Department Retreat

Each year, the Departments of Pharmacology and Biochemistry hold a joint retreat in Galveston, Texas. The retreat is a blend of scientific and social activities.
