Applicants are accepted based on their potential to become a successful general academic physician specializing in the health and well-being of children. One fellowship position is offered every year and applications are accepted according to the Match process for pediatric fellowships.

Admission Requirements
- Applicants are required to have an M.D. or equal training. At this time, we cannot accept applications from those who are training in the United States on Visas.
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Pediatrics, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, or Family Medicine residency.
- American Board of Pediatrics eligibility or certification.
- Submission of an application, CV, personal statement and three letters of recommendation.

NRMP Match
As of fall of 2018, the Baylor College of Medicine Academic General Pediatric Fellowship program will be participating in the Pediatric Fall Specialties National Residency Match Program (NRMP).
All fellowship applicants interested in applying for the BCM AGP Fellowship must register for the pediatric fall specialties NRMP match.
Benefits
Academic General Pediatrics fellows will have tuition and books paid by the department at either the University of Houston or The University of Texas Health Science Center. Stipend and benefits information is available on the Baylor College of Medicine Graduate Medical Education website.
