Welcome to the Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.

We are delighted you are interested in our clinical, research, and educational missions. Whether you are a prospective patient, trainee, or collaborator, we invite you to explore all that we offer in respiratory and critical care medicine.

Our section delivers comprehensive care across Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Ben Taub Hospital, Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women, and the Baylor Medicine Clinic. Programs include lung transplantation, interventional pulmonology, cystic fibrosis, asthma, comprehensive critical care, and sleep medicine.

Faculty lead innovative research in emphysema, asthma, respiratory muscles, sepsis, and vascular biology. Research teams are funded by federal grants and direct translational and basic science programs. Several investigators hold leadership positions in national scientific societies.

Our three fellowship programs in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine are among the most competitive in the nation. The section also houses an NIH/NHLBI T32 Research Training Program in Lung Diseases. Many of our graduates now hold leadership roles across academic and clinical institutions.

I invite you to browse through our website and learn more about our stellar faculty and our outstanding clinical, educational, and research programs.
